Thanks for posting.
WIthout the specifications in front of me, I am going to recommend a RAM upgrade right away. As far as I can remember, the 3000 series is a few years old, cam with about 256 MB and could benefit from maxing out the memory to 2GB.
I personally don't think that upgrading your XP machine to 7 will increase performance. It is possible that your system could use a tuenup. Click below to connect to me or another ConnectPro Online Support Expert and we can guide you in the right direction
Hope that info helps, you may want to join the forums so we can serve you better.

Hi and thanks for your post!
It's easier for us to help you with this type of question if you can give us the full model number. Aspire 3000 is just the series
.
As far as whether Windows 7 will make your computer faster... We should look at why your computer is running slow to begin with. How old is it, how much RAM does it have, have you ever had a tune-up performed, or do you perform and regular software maintenance like disc defragmenter?
If you can answer some of the above questions we'll be able to give you a much more useful response customized to your specific question ![]()
In the mean time I always recomend running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor before considering an upgrade to ensure you're computer is compatable with it. This is a free download available from microsoft. Alternatively if you'd like some help running the advisor and getting a personalized analysis of the results our Online Support Team is having a promotion right now that will allow them to do that for you for just $19.99.
