Gonna possibly start a stink here.  I have been googling the imprtance of good speaker cables, etc...

It is actually quite funny - seems there is a big camp who thinks they are of huge importance and a smaller camp (Who still seem very educated) who laugh at the bigger camp for wasting money on top of the line cables.  I even read one guy who did a study for University who actually did a huge experiment and no one could even tell a difference.  He even tested audio experts who swore there was a difference prior to the test and during the test they guessed all worong as to what type of wires/cables were being used.  Lets hear peoples thoughts...

In a nut shell, they are important for analog, not so much for digital.

If i had to choose a camp I would choose the Middle Camp, Wait there is no middle camp I guess I will just start one.

Do you think the people above know what they are doing? I think they choose Monster because they beleive it is the best . They certainly would not compromise quality for a couple of advertising dollars when their future depends on quality.

I believe the moral of the story is not to get CHEAP quality cables, but to find HIGH END cables and at not high end (Monster Cable) prices.  Those high end cable at cheaper prices do exist.

Material is the biggest factor in any cables' quality. Guage is also important too, your average cables are 16 and 8, but can be much thinner (higher number guage) or thicker (smaller number gauge). The guage is determined by how much power is needed and how far the power/information has to travel. So its not the brand name but the material used and the amount. I've heard of speaker cable costing as much as $1000+ per meter or 6ft!

I do suggest that these artists will put their career first over any sponsership. The quality of their work is more profitable over the money that they can make through a sponsership.The fact is that they are using Monster because they consider it to be the best ,I highly doudt that these people would put there careers in jeopardy by using anything but the highest quality.I think logic prevails in this case and so does Monster Cable .
