Recently purchased an Acer Tower, new, in the box, FS Boxing Day Special, and when I went to activate Windows Vista I found that it was already activated.  How could this be ?   Always have been required in the past to activate Windows within the 30 day timeframe !

Usually, the windows that comes preinstalled with the computer is already activated

Saudor is correct. Future Shop computers come with a special OEM version of Vista that does not require activation by the customer.
