The reason I've gone to the trouble to register on the future shop forum is so I communitcate unwillingness of the Halifax Bayers lake store to honor the warranty on my camera. My wife and I have been loyal customers for years and have purchased thousands of dollars of merchandise for our Home and because of this one incident we have decided to take our business elsewhere.
I am currently deployed in Afghanistan and have been for the past 8 months. When the digital camera I had purchased before leaving Canada became inoperative I quickly sent it back to my wife along with the receipt and valid warranty. When my wife brought the camera to the store she was quickly and very rudely told that it was not covered and to go talk to the manufacture about it. This type of treatment of a "valued" customer is a disgrace and I am saddened and disappointed that for the price of a $100.00 camera .

In addition, be aware that warranty issues are covered by the manufacturer and not the store you purchased it from unless you purchased an extended warranty. This is not unique to Future Shop but rather to every single electronics store.
If you need assistance in figuring out how to contact the manufacturer, please let us know the manufacturer's name and we can pass along the relevant info.
