my sony bravia says "unsupported signal please check the device output", i have no picture or sound ? i also have a hd dvr hooked up with an hdmi cable

Thanks for the question!

 

In order to support a TV signal, would it not need to be hooked up with a coaxial cable to get it?  I don't know of any TV providers that use HDMI to go from the HD box to the TV.  If you would like, you can join the forums and give a bit more information to help us out.  What service provider are you with?  Which TV are you using?

 

I could be wrong though, but this is the experience I know of from my friends who use a HD PVR.  Someone a bit more knowledgable than me might be able to better answer the question.
