11.0 How to use live chat.
11.1 Register for the Community Forum. Besides giving you access to live chat events, you'll also be able to join the technology discussion on the forums.

11.2 On the day of the live chat event a waiting room thread will open up on the corresponding board. Go here to participate in the discussion before the live chat.

11.3 Fifteen minutes before the scheduled start time, the chat room will open up to the community, and you'll be able to enter and secure your spot. Links to the Live Chat will be posted in the following areas:
The landing page "In the spotlight" link.

The landing page Announcements board.

The Live Chat waiting room thread.

In the "See all boards" section under the appropriate category.

11.4 You must be signed in to the Community in order to post a question in the live chat. Once inthe chat room, posting is easy - just type your question into the message box and hit "Send".

11.5 Your question will be reviewed by a moderator who will determine which guest expert is best able to provide an answer. While waiting for a reply you will be placed in the "Waiting" line and will not be able to submit anymore questions until the guest expert provides you with an answer.

11.6 If the moderator feels that the question you asked is not appropriate for the chat because it is off topic or not clearly stated, you will receive a message back from them with instructions asking you to post it in the forum or to rephrase and submit it again.

11.7 To view send options, click on the arrow next to the send button.

11.8 If you want to send a user a private message, click on the "Whisper to Specific User..." option and enter the user's name into the field.

11.9 To submit another question for the guest experts, click on the arrow again and select "Send to All" and submit you question.

11.10 Just before the chat is over, you will receive a "Last call for questions" message. Please submit your final question. The room will be closed as soon as all the questions are answered and the chat will be over. If you still have questions that remain, head back to the forum Live Chat Waiting Room and ask the Community.
